MAC were contracted to deliver the installation of a 1,200m³ attenuation system as part of a major site development project. Due to the site’s high water table, the attenuation system required a specialist design incorporating Bentonite lining layers to provide the necessary protection and performance.
MAC successfully delivered the complete installation, including excavation, specialist lining works, cell installation, drainage connections, backfilling and final landscaping.
Our Scope of Works
- Excavation and formation of the attenuation area, with embankments accurately shaped using GPS-controlled excavators.
- Installation of Bentonite lining layers to the excavated area to accommodate the challenging high-water-table conditions.
- Installation of the attenuation cells and associated engineered backfill layers.
- Connection of the attenuation system into the existing trunk main at a depth of approximately 7 metres.
- Completion of the required muck shift and material management throughout the works.
- Heavy landscaping and final formation of the surrounding area, leaving the site ready for the next stage of development.
- Specialist Groundworks & Civil Engineering
This project demonstrates MAC’s ability to deliver complex attenuation and drainage infrastructure in challenging ground conditions.
From GPS-controlled excavation and specialist Bentonite installation through to deep drainage connections and final landscaping, MAC provided a complete solution while coordinating the various stages of the works from start to finish.
